This survey is designed to highlight potential ecological constraints to development or site engineering/maintenance activities as well as opportunities for enhancement. The survey can be carried out pre-acquisition, early in the site layout planning process, whilst the site is held in a land bank, or pre engineering/maintenance activity.

 

The survey report classifies the habitats present using recognised criteria and descriptions, and indicates their relative ecological value. The report provides mitigation recommendations including indicating any follow-up detailed investigations that might be required.
